Mainland Parmesan Cheese 1kg
Discover Mainland Parmesan Cheese in the new versatile 1kg format. Made in the Waikato region, this New Zealand cheese is vegetarian, a very hard and dense cheese with a mature flavour. It has a rich deep taste, giving it a pleasant sharpness and strong bite that embodies rich fruity tones. These attributes are achieved when Mainland Parmesan is cooked, pressed, and carefully matured.
Made using enzymes (non-animal rennet), making it vegetarian suitable so it can be used in a wide range of dishes.
Tip: Simply dry some of the diced parmesan pieces or off cuts, place on an un-covered tray and refrigerate overnight to dry out. Microwave on high for 40 seconds to transform the pieces into a parmesan puff.
Mainland Haloumi Cheese
Introducing Mainland Haloumi Cheese in a new 700g pack size. Crafted using the traditional Cypriot cooked curd method, where it’s pressed and cooked in hot whey allowing the cheese to rise to the top. This process helps the haloumi remain firm and maintain its shape when cooked.
With its salty taste and squeaky-to-the-bite quality, it has a great balance of performance and flavour while remaining smooth and firm yet creamy. Made using 100% New Zealand milk it is a high source of calcium and a great source of protein for vegetarians.
Tip: Cook at an even medium temperature for a premium result. Think outside the box; panko-crumbed as nuggets or fries.
